Hanil Cement Selected as “Cement of the Year” in Brand of the Year Korea 2020 Date : 2020-09-25



Hanil Cement was selected as the “Cement of the Year” in the Brand of the Year Korea 2020 hosted by the Korea Consumers Council and the Korea Economic Daily. Major domestic cement brands were nominated for the cement category, which was a new category established this year. Hanil Cement was nominated the Cement of the Year through public votes and committee review.

The Brand of the Year Award, commemorating its 18th anniversary this year, is a kind of survey that selects the best brands that have shined in the year and shares the information with consumers to acknowledge the excellence and value of the brands. This year's survey was conducted on a total of 556,154 consumers from July to August.

Selected as Cement of the Year, Hanil Cement has been conducting environment-oriented management through the production of eco-friendly products, recycling of resources, and efficient use of energy. It was evaluated that the company’s social contribution activities—such as serving food to those in need, donating and delivering coal briquettes, and planting trees for a green environment.

In addition, Hanil Cement has been selected as No. 1 in the cement industry category for the most respected companies in Korea, published by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), for 17 consecutive years as of 2020. Hanil Cement is becoming a brand that represents the construction materials market, ranking first in the Portland Cement category and Dry Mortar category for 10 and 11 consecutive years, respectively, in the Korean Quality Satisfaction Index announced by the Korea Quality Association.
